COB ( CHIP ON BOARD )

The original form of any IC (Integrated Circuit) is in the form of a small sized “Bare Chip”. It will have bonding pads as output source. By placing the bare chip on a PCB (Printed Circuit board) with an epoxy and connecting the bonding pads to the tracks of the PCB by using a fine and pure Aluminium wire through a Wire bonding machine we get the “CHIP ON BOARD” (COB).
